It’s Always Time for a Walk in the Park
Don’t worry if your calendar doesn’t match up with a pet event. If all else fails, there are plenty of dog-friendly parks here in Pittsburgh. Frick Park has an OLEA (off-leash exercise area) in two fenced enclosed areas. It’s also home to the Hot Dog Dam - a swimming area just for pooches!
Riverview Park is a great place for an exercise walk. With hills galore, both you and your pup will work up an appetite. There are also wooded trails where you may encounter a horse ride!
Franklin Park is home to the sprawling Misty Pines Dog Park. There is a small entry fee, but it’s worth it for several different doggy play areas (based on the dog’s size) and even a dog pond. This dog park also offers daycare and grooming services. It’s a haven for your pet, right here in Pittsburgh.
At the Root of it All
No matter what time of year it is, always remember that what is most important is that you are spending time with your furry companion. No matter how you celebrate life’s moments, it’s being together that matters.
