Co-founder Lori Davidson - April 15, 2021
April showers bring May flowers. Isn't that the way we all learned it?
Over the years I've always thought of April as the ushering in of green grass and warmer temperatures. Although growing up in NW Pennsylvania meant April also ushered Old Man Winter out way too slowly and temps would fluctuate from near 80 to 30 or below - sometimes in the same day. This year appears to be no different.
Though this year is different there are still parallels. We're ushering out 2020 and ushering in a summer season where we'll be able to spend time with friends and family again. It's funny how I took for granted grabbing a coffee with a friend, or taking a kayak ride with friends around my lake, or even just sitting on the deck with them sipping a favorite beverage and watching the sunset.
Never again will those little things seem insignificant or will I take those things for granted. Gratitude. More important now than ever. And you know what, I couldn't be more grateful for the little things that make life full.
I also want to express my gratitude for sharing life with my Snookie and Pumpkin.
We all love our pets. I've loved every pet who has shared my life over the years. Somehow though my two cats and I have forged a bond that is uniquely deep as we forged through 2020 locked down in our cottage, just the three of us. They talk to me. I talk to them. They entertain me. I doubt I entertain them.
But all that time inside wouldn't have been as restorative and I wouldn't have been as content if not for their company. Those two little souls were my lifesavers!

So I'm wondering, did you share a similar experience with your fur-kids? Did they help you through all the months of lockdown. Are they struggling (or you) with separation anxiety as life goes back to normal?
Bring in the animal communicator. Have you ever used one? Let me say you might consider doing so! Ann Hoff is who I spoke with and she also is part of our FB Group "I Am Not Crazy Because I Talk to Animals." We do a once a month zoom call with Ann so if you're interested in learning more keep the last Wednesday of the month open. We do the call the last Wednesday of every month at 7 PM ET. I'd love to see you on the call! (FYI - She says Snookie and Pumpkin are doing just fine.)
Life is slowly resetting itself to a new normal. But, I've been changed forever... though there's been some loss and some struggles, I'm grateful for my life lessons and that my heart was reminded of who I cherish and what really matters.
Blessings in disguise. 2020, thanks.... sort of...
I'd love to hear from you so please email what life lessons 2020 brought you and what you and your fur crew are most looking forward to doing this summer! (Don't forget to send pics!)
Bring on May! Bring on summer!
